Principal’s Message

Dear Stallion Family,

I hope each of you is enjoying a wonderful summer filled with relaxation, laughter, and quality time with family and friends. While our students have been enjoying a well-deserved break, our dedicated teachers and staff have been hard at work attending professional learning opportunities, collaborating with colleagues, and preparing engaging experiences that will make this school year our best yet.

As we prepare to launch the 2026-2027 school year, we are excited to introduce our theme: "We Are on A Mission to Excellence!"

This year, our mission is fueled by a simple but powerful belief: we can all become 1% better every day. Small improvements lead to extraordinary results. Whether we are strengthening academic achievement, building positive relationships, developing leadership skills, or fostering a love of learning, every step forward matters. By focusing on continuous growth, we will create a culture where excellence becomes a habit.

At Chestnut Elementary School for Science and Engineering, we know that success is never accomplished alone. It takes students, teachers, staff, families, and community partners working together toward a common goal. That is why our rallying cry this year is:  One Crew. One Mission. One A.

Together, we will embrace challenges, celebrate successes, and remain focused on providing every child with the opportunities and support they need to thrive. Our mission is not simply about earning a school grade – it is about inspiring excellence, building confidence, and ensuring that every Stallion reaches their fullest potential.  We are especially excited to welcome everyone back at our Open House on Friday, August 7, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet teachers, reconnect with friends, explore classrooms, and kick off what promises to be an incredible year of learning and growth.

The excitement is building, the mission is clear, and our crew is ready! We cannot wait to see our hallways filled once again with smiling faces, eager learners, and the Stallion pride that makes Chestnut such a special place.  Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we will strive to be 1% better every day as we pursue excellence in all that we do.
