New Administrative Appointment Banner ImageOn December 18, the Osceola County School Board approved the following administrative appointments:



Eugenia Rolando, Principal of Kissimmee Middle School
During her career, Eugenia Rolando has held the following positions: Teacher at Matter Ter Admirabilis Institute in Buenos Aires, Argentina (1998-2001); Teacher at Denn John Middle (2002-2013); Online ESOL Professional Development Facilitator for the Osceola School District (2009-2016); and Assistant Principal for Instruction at Kissimmee Middle (2013-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Education from the Instituto Superior del Profesorado Joaquin V. Gonzalez and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership with the American College of Education.
 
Karen Combs, Principal of Adult Learning Center Osceola (ALCO)
During her career, Karen Combs has held the following positions: Teacher at Shiloh Christian School in Arkansas (1992-1996); Teacher for Fayetteville Public Schools (1996-2001); Teacher for George Washington Community School (2001-2002); Assistant Principal at Northside Middle School for Muncie Community Schools (2002-2004); Principal at Glen Acres Elementary for Lafayette School Corporation (2004-2011); Assistant Superintendent for Lafayette School Corporation (2011-2016); Principal at Edgelea Elementary School (2016-2018); and Assistant Principal at Osceola Technical College – Poinciana Campus (2018-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from John Brown University and her master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas.


Yanelys Ballard, Assistant Principal of Harmony Middle
During her career, Yanelys Ballard has held the following positions: Teacher at Coral Shores High School in Monroe County (2004-2009); Math/Science Coach at Parkway Middle (2009-2010); Science Coach at Gateway High (2010-2012); Coordinator of Turnaround Schools (2012-2014); Director of High School Curriculum and Instruction for the Osceola School District (2014-2017); Assistant Principal of Instruction at Harmony High (2017-2018); and Teacher at Tohopekaliga High (2018-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Florida International University and her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University.


Dr. Leah Torres, Director of Research, Evaluation, and Accountability
During her career, Dr. Leah Torres has held the following positions: Teacher at Horizon Middle (2006-2013); Middle School Science Specialist for the Osceola School District (2013-2014); and Research Specialist for the Osceola School District (2014-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona and her master’s degree in Math and Science Education from the University of Central Florida. She earned her doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida.
 

Lacey Galloway, Coordinator of School Nutrition Services
During her career, Lacey Galloway has held the following positions: Food Service Manager for the School District of Manatee County (2013-2015); Culinary Specialist First Class in the United States Coast Guard Reserves (2005-current); and School Nutrition Services Specialist for the Osceola School District (2015-present). She received her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of North Florida and her master’s degree in Leadership from Grand Canyon University.


Transfers:

Kim Miller, currently Assistant Principal at Osceola Technical College, will be Assistant Principal at Adult Learning Center Osceola.

Eugene French, currently Coordinator of Adult Learning Center Osceola, will be Assistant Principal at Osceola Technical College.
